Weekend Recap!

We had a super fun long weekend!  Which got extended another day due to extreme flooding around Houston, good thing we are staying in today. 

Saturday we went to Armin and Gayle's wedding and the boys did fantastic! Thomas slept through most of it and Benjamin enjoyed the band and the cake the most! Both boys looked super cute but somehow I didn't even manage to get 1 picture of all of us. But here is Benjamin looking super cute in the flowers. :)

It was an outdoor wedding and it was hot so we came home and took a nap followed by a little water play! 

Thomas was taking a nap so I peeked through the window and Benjamin was having a blast out there! 

Sunday morning we had a visit from Gigi and Popi and Sunday afternoon we went to a gourmet popcorn shop, Ms. Monkey's Emporium, and they have 3 monkeys in the store. Needless to say Benjamin loved it! We spent Sunday afternoon at the pool and had so much fun splashing! Benjamin was splashing and getting his face and hair wet so I am really excited for him to start swimming lessons in June. I know he is going to do great! 

Monday we headed down to Moody Gardens and went to the Aquarium and saw the new dinosaur exhibit. 

Such a fun Memorial Day weekend! 

Friday!

Yay for a long weekend full of fun and celebrations!

The Beach

Last Sunday we headed down to Maw Maws house to spend the day. Matt and Benjamin went to the beach for a bit while Thomas, MawMaw and I stayed at home. Benjamin had a blast splashing in the water and playing in the sand. 

Benjamin enjoyed a few treats after lunch.

And Thomas enjoyed a nap!

We also went to Gloria's house to see the chickens, Benjamin's favorite! 

Never Too Late

To follow your dreams! Saturday we attended Popi's graduation from culinary school and we couldn't be more proud! Both Popi and Gigi went back to school later in life and it's truly inspirational.

Somehow I didn't get any other pictures that day. :(  We all had a great time celebrating that evening at Gigi and Popi's house where Benjamin spent most of the time playing in the dirt. Boys will be boys! We are so proud of you Popi and are ready to try all of your culinary creations! 

1 Month

I can't believe it has already been 1 month since we brought home our sweet, cuddly, squeezable Thomas. The first few weeks we had some really long nights with lots of gas and irritability but the last few weeks have been a lot better for him. We tried Mylicon drops and gripe water but I don't think either of those really worked and I really think as he has grown and gotten used to new surroundings that's what has helped. Most days Thomas is eating every 2-3 hours still but we have had a few nights with 4 hour stretches which is great because I can feed him at 10 and then once at 2 and then wake up at 6 and feed him. This is the schedule I'm trying to move to and we will get there. For the most part he is still sleeping in the rock and play but we are going to start trying to transition him to his crib. Benjamin looooooves his baby brother and he loves playing on the floor with Thomas. He calls him "big guy" and it's the cutest ever. He will get right up to his fave and say "hey big guy." It's super sweet. He also loves to bring Thomas toys and sing him songs. 

It's pretty exhausting to be this cute!

The last month has been amazing and I can't imagine how life can get any better! We love you sweet boy!

Hope you have a weekend filled with lots of fun! We will be bouncing, riding horses and playing with animals, the usual happenings around our house. :) 

Beach

Last week at Benjamin's school they learned about the ocean and he asked us if he could see it so when we went to Galveston for Mother's Day Matt took Benjamin to the beach. He was a little overwhelmed and didn't really want to get in the water. I can't blame him, I don't want to get in that murky water either. 

Mother's Day

I am one lucky Mama! Lucky that my 2 sweet babies chose me to be their mommy. And lucky to have such an amazing husband who made this Mother's Day extra special. Our day started out with doughnuts and Starbucks, 2 of my favorite things, followed by spending the day in Galveston at MawMaws for lunch with our family.  Thomas slept most of the day but enjoyed meeting so many new faces and Benjamin had a blast as he loves going to MawMaw's house.

The perfect day spent with those I love most.

The Wheels on the Bus

Benjamin loves school busses. On the way to school in the morning we count how many we pass on our short drive so when I got this picture of Benjamin sitting on the bus at school I knew he must have been so excited.  His teacher told me that they bring the class on the bus and then they all sing the wheels on the bus.  So cute!
