Gone Fishin’

The boys have been asking to go fishing so last weekend Matt and the boys did just that!  

Benjamin alllllllmost caught a crab but he slipped off at the last minute.  Oh well, it was still a good day fishin’! 

Camping not Glamping

Matt and the boys went camping with Bubba Steve 

and Ethan last weekend and had a blast!  I was kind 

of nervous because it was Thomas’ first camping trip 

but he had a BLAST! And I think he enjoyed the 

marshmallows the most! 

Splish Splash!

I was takin’ a bath!  OR if you are Thomas you are 

jumping in a pool and making BIG splashes!  We are 

so proud of how well Thomas has started swimming 

this summer!  We did lessons from January to May 

and have spent a lot of time in the pool this summer 

and he has just picked it up so well! 

Cozumel

I haven't given our little piece of the internet any love in A LONG TIME!  In fact, it has been almost a year since I have last blogged, but, graduate school is finished and I am ready to get back to the things I love most, and this blog is one of them!  I can't go back and recap an entire year, so I am going to start with the beginning of summer.

To kick off summer Matt and I went on a little vacation of our own to Cozumel!  We took a Carnival cruise out of Galveston and while we had a great time together, especially spending long hours in the sun sipping drinks and reading, I don't think that we will be doing another cruise.  We are more of "doers," even on vacation, and like to be able to explore the places we are visiting and a cruise doesn't really allow for that.  None the less though, we had a great time!

Family Fun

We try to take a family trip every summer with extended family- all the kids, cousins, etc and this year we spent it at a ranch in Junction, Texas.  

We spent the first few days exploring the property, playing family games and hanging out.  It was so fun to see the cousins all playing together since we are all spread out across the country.  

Might As Well Jump!

We had so much fun jumping out our energy at Altitude Trampoline Park! So, go ahead and jump! 

Little Fishes

Swim lessons are in full swing and we have 2 water lovin boys and we are soaking up all the sun and pool time that we can! 

And we even bought an inflatable pool for our backyard because we just can’t get enough! 

Move over Michael Phelps, there are new swimmers in town! 

Sweet Summertime!

Well, here we are, the start of sweet summertime!  Here are some highlights from the past few months...

Benjamin celebrated a milestone birthday!  The big 5!

Completed his first (very successful) season of Little League! Go Astros!

Lost his 1st tooth!

And graduated Pre-K! Watch out Kindergarten, here we come!

Thomas celebrate turning 3!

Learning lots of new things at school...

And making lots of new friends!
