School Days

During the summer Benjamin is only going to school on Tuesdays and Thursdays, mainly just to keep the routine.   Tuesday is Benjamin's splash day at school and his teachers tell me that he loves it and is always out exploring around the whole playground and yard.  This kid really loves the water!

Boston

We had a very enjoyable time in Boston.  We saw all the sights of the Freedom Trail, ate the best food- I especially enjoyed the cannolis which I ate every day we were there, and the lobster rolls- went to Harpoon and Samuel Adams Breweries, Cheers, Harvard,  and of course took in a game at Fenway Park.

Hangin' with Nana and Pops

While Matt and I were in Boston Benjamin was having the best time in Louisiana with Nana and Pops.  It was definitely very hard to be away from my sweet boy for 3 days but it made it that much easier knowing how much fun he was having and all of the love that he was getting.  They went to the zoo, rode the train, went to the park, fed the ducks, read lots of books, and Benjamin loved every minute. 

The whole way back to Texas Benjamin was asking for Nana and Pops. It was really sweet and broke my heart at the same time.  We miss you already Nana and Pops and can't wait to see you guys real soon.  

 

We're Back!

And what an amazing trip we had!  

The only way to recap our trip is to start from the beginning with our 4th of July.  We spent the morning swimming and spending time with family.  After swimming we went back to Nana and Pops' house and had lunch.

 Later in the afternoon we headed over to our friends Jon and Sarah's house for a 4th of July party.  All of the kids had so much fun playing together in the fun jump, sprinkler and pool and the adults had so much fun catching up over games of washers. 

 

 



 

It was great catching up with friends that we definitely do not get to see often enough.  Hope everyone's 4th of July was as festive and fun as ours.  



Vacation!

all I ever wanted, vacation had to get away!  Is that song stuck in your head now?!  We are headed to Louisiana and then on to Boston for vacation until next Wednesday so the Grissom Gossip will be on vacation until next Wednesday.  Hope you all have a very happy 4th of July, I know we will! 

Little Helper

Benjamin is the best helper!  He is always letting me know when things need to be organized around here and on Sunday he decided we needed to organize the paper towels. 

I agree, Benjamin.  The paper towels did need to be organized and I am so glad that I have you to help me.  Benjamin is the cutest and best helper around!
