Happy Friday

Over Spring Break I took Benjamin for an appointment to check in with his Orthopedic Surgeon and we got the best news ever-we don't need to come back for another check up until right before Kindergarten!  We were checking in with him every 6 months to monitor a very mild scoliosis but thankfully God does answer prayers and Benjamin's scoliosis is no longer an issue and we got the all clear to participate in any and all sports now and in the future!  #blessed and I really mean it!  It was definitely a day worth celebrating.

This picture was taken at Benjamin's school and was clearly before I took him to get a haircut, I have to say though, I do miss his long hair a bit!  Hope you all have a great weekend, we will be doing one of my favorite things-having a crawfish boil of course!  And trying to finish last minute details before little brother arrives.

Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo

We also made a trip to the Houston Rodeo over Spring Break and Benjamin was super excited to get to see all of the animals.  We went on Saturday when it was super rainy all day but that didn't dampen our day as pretty much everything we wanted to do was inside.  They have a fantastic section for kids with tons of animals and things for them to do.  They also had a huge display of farm equipment, the biggest farm equipment I have ever seen, so needless to say Benjamin was quite excited!  My favorite part was seeing all of the baby animals in the "just born" section, so cute!  Benjamin's favorite part was the horse auction and I am pretty sure Matt's favorite part was the BBQ!  Such a fun day!

Benjamin's 2nd favorite part about the day?   That Auntie got to come with us!

Pizza with Popi

Over Spring Break Benjamin and I met Popi for pizza one afternoon and now for the last few days whenever we talk to Popi he asks if we are going to get pizza.

And after lunch we headed straight to get a hair cut!  I do miss Benjamin's longer hair as the guy cut it shorter than I would like this time but it is still cute and will grow back in no time.

Home Depot

Sunday we took a trip to Home Depot, per usual, which also happens to be one of Benjamin's favorite stores because he LOVES to look at the forklifts.  There is a lot of construction going on in our neighborhood right now building new houses and the new pavilion and splash pad so we go for walks to see the fork lifts, diggers, back hoes, and dump trucks almost every day but Benjamin wants to get up close to them and unfortunately it has been too muddy to do that so he got his fork lift fix at Home Depot on Sunday.

He was also pretty excited about the riding lawn mowers.  However, he was not so excited about the trip to Target that followed!

Armand Bayou

Matt and Benjamin spent Saturday morning going to breakfast and spending time at Armand Bayou Nature Center and Benjamin had so much fun.  Seriously, if Benjamin is outside and there are animals, he is in heaven!

Happy Friday!

It's the weekend!  Yay!  Nothing too exciting has been happening around here other than wishing for the rain to go away and for sunny days so we can go outside and play.  Matt and I do have a date night planned for tonight, dinner and a mystery dessert theater afterward and Benjamin gets to have a fun night with his favorite teacher from school, Ms. Destiny.
