Memorial Day Part 2!

It was a great weekend and we are so thankful to Auntie A and MawMaw for babysitting Ben!

Memorial Day!

Ben is so lucky to have such an amazing Auntie and Great Grandmother who babysat him over the weekend!  They had such a fun time that I don't even think Ben minded that we were gone!

Ben got to visit with GiGi and Poppy, play with Sophie in the pool, and he even got to take a nap in his swimsuit!  I'd say he had a great time!  Thanks for babysitting Auntie A and Maw Maw, we love you so much and are so lucky that Ben has such an amazing Auntie and Great Grandmother!

Big Boy!

Hope everyone had a wonderful Memorial Day, I know we did!  Matt and I spent a much needed weekend in Galveston and had a fantastic time, although we did miss Ben terribly!  I still have to sort through the weekends pictures so in the meantime here is a picture to show you just how big my little buddy is getting!

Okay, not exactly the real beach, but hey, not having to deal with the sand is always better, right?! 

Ben got a new exersaucer themed "day at the beach" and I couldn't wait to put this together for him!

Pool Party!

We had a very special visit this weekend from Ben's Auntie Heather and Uncle Scootles.  They flew in from Miami on Saturday night and while it was a short visit (please stay longer next time, we miss you already!) it was so much fun and we can't wait to see you both again soon in Arkansas!

Auntie Heather and Uncle Scootles brought Ben his first swimming pool so that meant only one thing...pool party!

I didn't get these for Mother's Day, I actually got them today at work, such a sweet surprise from my sweet husband.  Ben and I missed you terribly and are so glad you are home.  And the trophy in the background, well thats a 1st place spirit award trophy that my cluster won at the STAAR pep rally.  We've got spirit yes we do! 

Mother's Day!

Auntie A came in town on Friday and we loaded up the pups and all headed down to Galveston for a very special Mother's Day weekend at Maw Maw's.  I am one blessed Mama because I get to spend everyday with this sweet, sweet boy!

4 Months!

I can't believe my baby is already 4 months old!  I really feel like, just in the last few weeks, he turned this corner and has become a much more manageable baby. It’s hard to explain but I just feel like I “get” him more now. Don’t get me wrong, I still don’t know what I’m doing a lot, but he’s not a complete mystery to me anymore. We’re getting the BEST smiles, some hilarious laughs and giggles and the cutest noises you have ever heard. Recently he has just been talking up a storm…babbling on and on.   He’s now a big fan of the bumbo! He LOVES to put absolutely anything in his mouth, especially his hands. He’s exploring his world and it’s so fun to see him discover things. He’s doing great sleeping through the night.    He’s still getting up to eat once in the night but will go right back to sleep after his tummy his full. He’s quite the charmer and will willingly show friendly strangers his big gummy smile…but then will usually get shy and turn his head into me. He melts my heart daily. I can’t believe this perfect little baby is mine. I love him soooo much!

Ok, as usual with the monthly photos, there are not a lot this time as Ben was super tired the morning I took pictures!

Cinco de Mayo!

Yes, that was yesterday, but here is our fun filled weekend recap!  On Friday night we headed over to Dickey's BBQ for dinner.  I tried to snap a few quick photos but my model just wasn't having it! 

Ben was more interested in the yellow cup!

We celebrated Cinco de Mayo on Sunday with Mexican food, of course!  We also spent the day testing out exersaucers for Ben at Babies R Us and I was quickly reminded why I do most of my shopping online!

 

 

We said "see you later" to Daddy this morning for 2 whole weeks!  It has been a very sad morning in our house and we can't wait for Daddy to come home, we already miss you and we have lots of hugs and kisses ready for you when you come home!
