Thanksgiving

We spent Thanksgiving in Lafayette and had a great time. We had an uneventful drive in Wednesday afternoon and arrived around 8:30 which was so nice not to get in super late like we usually do. Thanksgiving morning Nana gave Benjamin the scooter she saved for him and after a couple of tries he was a scooter pro in no time! And he rode that scooter all day long! Since the scooter Nana had was pink, we added a new scooter to Benjamin's Christmas list. 

I can't even believe it but besides these pictures from the morning, I didn't take a single picture Thanksgiving Day. So all I have our these few pictures that others took and not a single one is of all of us together. Oh well, there's always another time.

Happenings

I have been a little behind on posting lately, mainly because Thomas has been sleeping through the night, finally!, and I have been trying to catch up on sleep and have been going to bed earlier than I care to share. So here's a giant update on what we have been up to.

We celebrated with friends at Sadiq's birthday party...

I went to New Orleans for a conference and Matt took care of the boys. I had a great time but I sure was happy to see my 3 boys after a long weekend...

Spent lots of time playing trains and cars...

And Benjamin tried out his sleeping bag to get ready for his big camping trip with Matt, Pops, Uncle Steve and Ethan and Drew Thanksgiving weekend. 

Whew! That was a lot and there's still more to update on but for now I'm going to end my birthday with a movie and catching up on reading some magazines. 

Smile

Benjamin was all smiles when Matt came home from a short work trip last week. He was especially excited about his new shirt that Matt brought him!

7 Months!

I can not believe that our sweet baby boy is already 7 months!  I don't even know where the time has gone.  But I do know that Thomas is the most cuddliest, sweetest, 7 month old ever.  He is babbling up a storm and says "da da da" all the time.  He has started to say "mmma" and I know he will be saying "ma ma" in no time.  Thomas is sitting up like a champ and has started to try to go from sitting up to his stomach and when he is on his stomach he just scoots wherever he needs to go.  He tries, tries, tries to get up on his knees and I know it won't be long before he is on the move.  Thomas loves to play with Benjamin the most and the interaction between them is just the sweetest.  Thomas will just start smiling and babbling at Benjamin and Benjamin loves to give Thomas kisses and hugs.  It absolutely melts my heart.  Thomas loves to play with toys on the floor but I think he enjoys playing with Benjamin the most.  He has 2 teeth on the bottom and chews on anything and everything these days.  Thomas is eating fruits and vegetables once a day still and we will be moving to twice a day this month.  Sleeping is getting better and better and we can now just lay him down in his crib drowsy and he will fall asleep after a few minutes.  Thomas has been taking a morning nap around 9, an afternoon nap around 1 and usually still takes a short late afternoon nap around 330 or 4 and is in bed at 6:00 and wakes up around 630.  I still rock him for a few minutes at night before laying him in his crib and he just loves to be sung to.  As soon as I start singing he just gets the biggest smile.  He is truly the happiest baby smiling all day long at anyone and everyone.  He is such a social baby and his teachers at school tell us he just smiles all day long.  The last 7 months have been truly amazing and each day gets better than the last. 

Teeth!

Thomas officially has 2 teeth! They were both starting to make their debut last weekend and have now both fully emerged!

Thomas is all smiles now that those bottom teeth finally broke through and he has even started sleeping through the night! Yay for teeth!

6 Month Doctor Update

Matt took Thomas for his 6 month check up a few weeks ago and he is just growing like a weed!  Thomas was 26 inches tall and 18 lbs 8 oz!  My little chunky monkey!  He had to get shots but took them like a champ and luckily he did not have a crazy reaction at the injection sites like he did last time. Such a little trooper.

Halloween

We had the best Halloween spent with Aunt Heather, Uncle Scott, Madison, and Nana and Pops! Despite the non stop rain all weekend we still had a fantastic time and luckily on Saturday it stopped raining just long enough for us to trick or treat around the neighborhood.
