Cozumel

I haven't given our little piece of the internet any love in A LONG TIME!  In fact, it has been almost a year since I have last blogged, but, graduate school is finished and I am ready to get back to the things I love most, and this blog is one of them!  I can't go back and recap an entire year, so I am going to start with the beginning of summer.

To kick off summer Matt and I went on a little vacation of our own to Cozumel!  We took a Carnival cruise out of Galveston and while we had a great time together, especially spending long hours in the sun sipping drinks and reading, I don't think that we will be doing another cruise.  We are more of "doers," even on vacation, and like to be able to explore the places we are visiting and a cruise doesn't really allow for that.  None the less though, we had a great time!

Busy, Busy

Wow!  This has definitely been the longest blogging break I have taken!  But, you didn't think I would actually quit this thing did you?!  No way!  But... things have been super busy around here and we are all definitely looking forward to the lazier days of summer.  I recently started my Master's degree a few months ago and it has been quite the juggling act getting into a groove of mommying, wifeing, teaching, and school but I think I am finally in the swing of things.  That being said, I have LOTS to catch up on!  So, I'll just go in order...

First up... finish recapping our trip to Louisiana for Thomas' Baptism.

I had the very crazy idea of trying to coordinate a family picture with all of the cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents in Lafayette and it was quite the adventure to say the least!  Trying to coordinate 8 kids is no easy task!  But, we did manage a few good ones.

And got LOTS of quality cousin time in!  These kids LOVED splashing at the splash pad!

Great Grandpa Papa Doc

I compiled these pictures together for Auntie Heather to create a scrap book for our favorite Great Grandpa Papa Doc, and I couldn't help but share them here as well.

There is nothing better than PD snuggles!  We love you Papa Doc!

Yeehaw!

What a fun and relaxing Spring Break and now it's back to the routine.  Normally, I welcome a routine back, but I was really beginning to enjoy the slow mornings and extra time with my babes.

I have lots to recap from Spring Break, so I'm starting with Monday.   Benjamin and I had a date Day and headed to the Rodeo!

Y'all, those boots!  I love them!

So much fun with my big boy!

Super Bowl Fun!

Yes, we were crazy and ventured into downtown for some Super Bowl fun!

I think Benjamin's favorite part of the whole day was the train ride to downtown.

Thomas was not a fan and cried every time the doors opened because he wanted to get off.

We went early in the day, which is good because they ended up reaching capacity in the evening and closing it off, but there were still so. many. people.

It was a SUPER fun day downtown!

'Tis the Season

It's never too early to kickoff the Christmas festivities and we did just that over the weekend!

Ready for a day of Christmas fun at Moody Gardens!

Waiting in line for the ice!

Thomas was not so much a fan of the ice, it was 9 degrees and quite frankly it was pretty darn cold in there.  Benjamin, on the other hand, loved every minute of it and has talked about it every day since!   After the ice we toured a few pyramids and then waited for Santa to make his grand appearance to the island via sky diving!

It was the perfect start to the Christmas season!
