Updates

Just some updates on things that have been happening around here lately.  Yesterday was another "snow" day, so Ben and I stayed home and played inside all day.  Other exciting things that are happening- we are in the process of buying a house!  Yay!  We are closing on the 10th of February and will definitely post pictures shortly after.  We are very excited and I just know Benjamin is going to love the new neighborhood, complete with lots of green belts, playgrounds, and pools with splash pads!  We are looking forward to lots of exciting adventures in our new home.  In other not so exciting news, Lucy tore her ACL (who knew dogs could even do that?!) at the begining of January and while she has improved greatly, she is still walking with a slight limp.  She had a few weeks of kennel rest, which she didn't seem to mind too much, although she was on lots of doggie pain meds, and that helped a lot because before she was not putting any weight on her leg and now she runs and plays but at the end of the day you can tell it hurts her.  We got the information from the vet on surgery for her, and we haven't ruled that out yet, but we wanted to see how it would heal on its own first.  Other than packing, that is all that has been happening around here.  A few updates on Benjamin-

Food is an adventure these days!  He is loving table food and I am enjoying trying new recipes for him, so far avocados, eggs, spaghetti, really pasta of any kind, sweet potatoes, yogurt, oatmeal, squash souffle, and spinach souffle are his favorites!  I still buy baby food fruits, pears mainly, but will soon transition him to regular.

A few of his favorite things right now are books and brushing his teeth!  He loves to brush his teeth, and it must tickle his gums because he just laughs the whole time!

He is cruising along the furniture and wants to venture off of it but just hasn't worked up the courage despite lots of cheering on from his fan club.  He is still talking up a storm and this morning when I dropped him off at daycare after our usual hug and kiss goodbye and the I love you, see you later, he waved right at me and said "bye bye."  My heart instantly melted.  My sweet baby boy is growing up!

I am so thankful Benjamin picked me to be his Mama!
