Benjamin spent the day at school with me again on Wednesday and he had a blast! 

He played around in the bounce house. 

And played basketball like the big boys.

We did end up back at the Dr. on Wednesday afternoon because Benjamin broke out in a rash all over his body and his tummy was very upset.  We determined he is allergic to Sulfa so we immediately stopped his antibiotics.  The good news is that his ears looked perfectly clear.



Capri Suns

I had to pick Benjamin up from his school on Tuesday because he was running a fever so I brought him back to work with me for the afternoon.  My kids loved playing with him and he was thoroughly entertained.  The best entertainment?   A box of Capri Suns!

Memorial Day Recap

Here is our Memorial Day in pictures.  We spent the day at the Kemah Boardwalk and had so much fun!  Nana Debs and Benjamin went back home early in the afternoon which was the best thing so Benjamin could take a nap.  Annah and I rode tons of rides, played games, and got our faces painted.  Definitely a great weekend spent with family. 

And Uncle Elliott wore silly hats!  A fun day was had by all! 

Dirt

On Friday Matthew had a huge load of dirt delivered for the beds in the backyard. 

Want to know the secret to really getting to know your neighbors?  Order a load of dirt.  At one point in the evening I felt like I was in an episode of "King of the Hill."  Matthew and our neighbor Rodney were standing in our cul de sac, drinking a beer, and staring and talking about the pile of dirt.   Too funny.  Our beds in the backyard that we dug out last weekend are really starting to come together thanks to Matthew and Uncle Elliott.  Now we just need to plant all of our plants this weekend!

On Saturday morning our new kitchen table and chairs were delivered, and sadly our sweet little punkin' pie woke up with a high fever so up to the doctor we went.  Matt had taken Benjamin to the ENT on Wednesday and she said he had an infection in his right ear and prescribed Augmentin but that obviously wasn't working because when we got to the Dr. Saturday both of Benjamin's ears were infected and the right ear had gotten worse.  I can't wait until next Tuesday when our sweet boy gets his tubes put in so hopefully he will get some relief from these infections.  Benjamin slept most of the afternoon which was perfect because we got in a visit from MawMaw and Elliott and Matt were able to fill all of the beds.  Nana stayed with Benjamin in the afternoon and Matt, Elliott, Annah and I spent some time at the pool.

I hope you are enjoying this much needed day off, however, I am unfortunately at work today!  We had such a fun weekend with Nana Debs, Uncle Elliott, and Cousin Annah and I will share all of our adventures tomorrow, but for today, my sweet boy wishing you all a Happy Memorial Day!

Friday

We are ready for the weekend!  Benjamin's Uncle Elliott and Cousin Annah are coming in town for the weekend and we can't wait to see them!  Hope you have a great weekend!

Water Bottle Fun

I brought some toys for the pool on Sunday and the only thing Benjamin wanted to play with was an empty water bottle.  He is a simple kind of guy! =)

Benjamin is constantly on the go these days and it is hard to capture a picture of him sitting still as you can see from the pictures below.  Benjamin just wanted to be back in the water and I just wanted a picture of us.

Have I told you how much I love our new house and our neighborhood?  I really do!  Especially the pool and all of the community events that the Lifestyle Director plans.  We have kayak races on the lake, fun runs throughout the neighborhood, Nature Expos at the club house, game days at the parks, movies at the pool,  and so many more activities.  It is pretty much perfect.  Like our own little Mayberry.

Productive Weekend

 We accomplished so much this weekend around the house.  On Saturday MawMaw and I went shopping and picked out a new kitchen table and chairs and a buffet.  I can't wait to see it in our house, I love it, and I know it is going to look perfect.  We installed ceiling fans in the bedrooms, ordered some art work for the walls, and started digging out the beds in the backyard. 

Then we spent the rest of Sunday at the pool in our neighborhood.  It was the perfect end to a perfect weekend full of hard work around the house.
