The weekend before school started we made a short trip to Austin to visit some friends and had the best time. We went to Westlake Beach which was perfect because it offered tons of shade and the water was shallow enough for Benjamin to walk in. It also had the perfect little sand area for Benjamin to dig in. Thomas enjoyed everything from under the shade but he enjoyed looking at everything and enjoying the outdoors.
Benjamin looks a little miserable in this picture thanks to the life jacket and we took it off after a while and he actually spent most of the time digging in the sand on the shore anyway. It was a super fun weekend visiting Katie and Paul and we can't wait to go back!
