Easter

We went to Nana and Pop's for Easter and it was a super fun filled weekend- more on that later- but first a little Easter prep with some egg dying and egg hunts!    Over Spring Break we dyed eggs with the neighbors and it was a lot of fun. 

And we hunted for eggs with friends in Louisiana at the Horse Farm.

When we dyed Easter eggs I took Thomas to school just to be safe with his egg allergy and he wasn't really feeling the egg hunt so he enjoyed the action from his stroller. He was much happier watching from afar!  We were able to get a super cute picture of all the kids though!
 
 
 
 

 
 
 
 
 
 
 

Best Friends

These boys love to play together and Benjamin loves to read books to Thomas. It is the cutest and I love to hear the stories that Benjamin comes up with as he reads the books. Some he has memorized and it's adorable to hear and others are stories he makes up to the pictures and they can be pretty creative!

Just a few things that have been happening lately... 

We had a small crawfish boil with friends...

Thomas practiced his walking...

We celebrated our friend Evan's birthday...

We've been spending a lot of time riding the gator all around the neighborhood...

We've spent some time lounging...

Soccer

Well, I am officially a soccer mom and I couldn't be more excited about it! Benjamin had his first practice on Wednesday and he had a great time meeting his new teammates and coaches.  We have been practicing with him and he is doing great! He is an awesome kicker!

Hippity Hoppity

Easter is on its way and these 2 bunnies are ready!

Benjamin and Thomas had a little visit with the Easter bunny early at GiGi and Popi's house! We also enjoyed a fun visit with them complete with lots of delicious grilled food, of course!

 
 
 
 

 

Follow Up

We had Thomas's follow up from the hospital on Wednesday and he is doing fantastic and is back to the happy chunky monkey we are used to.

Thomas loved playing with the paper while we waited for the doctor!
 
 
 

Oh Saturday

Saturday afternoon was a doozie to say the least.  While Benjamin was napping I decided to try a scrambled egg for Thomas since we have been trying new table foods and it did not go over well to say the least. First he was coughing and throwing up, then it was hives and swelling and a race to get to the emergency room. Long story short, he has the most severe allergy to eggs and had an anaphylactic reaction. Most importantly though, he's okay and that's what matters, but that's an experience I never want to have again. 

Finally sleeping after lots of medicine. 

Thomas was not very happy to have to stay overnight in the hospital. 

But by Sunday morning he was feeling much, much better.

So thankful our sweet, sweet boy is better and egg free now!!!
