Photo shoot fun!

Happy Birthday Uncle Scootles!  We wish we could be with you to celebrate in sunny Miami but since we can't, we are sending you lots of birthday wishes and saving up lots of birthday hugs for when we do get to see you.  We hope this birthday was the best one yet!

I had a little photo shoot with Ben the other day and while I am not a professional photography by any means, I just absolutely love the way these pictures turned out.  There are definitely some framers for sure!

Birthday Weekend!

We have had such a fun weekend around here!  On Friday Ben's Auntie Natalie and Poppy came over and we all went to breakfast.  It was a lot of fun and I know Ben enjoyed seeing his Auntie Natalie.

When we got home, Ben was super exhausted and let me rock him to sleep.  He hasn't let me rock him all the way to sleep since he has become this roly poly ball of fun.  He just wants to wiggle around in my arms usually.

On Friday night we waited for Auntie A to come in and passed the time by playing with Lucy!

On Saturday we all headed down to Galveston to MawMaws to celebrate 2 very special birthdays!

First, Ben's Auntie A celebrated her birthday on Wednesday.  Happy happy birthday Auntie A, we hope it was your best birthday yet!  We love you!

Second, it was Poppy's birthday last night.  Happy, happy birthday Poppy, we love you very much and hope you had a great birthday!  We are so glad we got to celebrate with Auntie A and Poppy last night, it was a great night celebrating 2 very special people.

Crib Fun!

I have been laying Ben down in his crib when he is drowsy rather than rocking him all the way to sleep so he will learn to put himself to sleep.  It's a method from the book Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child, which is pretty amazing by the way!  Who knew that the earlier you put a baby to bed, the longer they sleep in the morning?!  That is why Ben has always gone to bed around 6:30.  Anyway, sometimes I hear him in his crib just talking and playing away and this is how I found him last night.

Poor baby, I just know if he could talk he would be begging for me to get him out! Ha!

Puppy Love!

Ben's favorite thing these days???  His 2 puppies Harry and Lucy!  Lucy loves to lick Ben's feet and wrestle with Harry and he thinks it is just the funniest thing!  Ben just cracks up when those 2 play together.  A boy and his dog. 

In other exciting adventures around here, Matt and I celebrated our anniversary on Saturday.  Poppy babysat Ben for the evening while we went to dinner (thanks Poppy!) and Ben got to play with another puppy, Harley!

Sippy Cup

We have been trying for a few days to introduce Ben to the sippy cup.  He can't quite figure out how to get the juice out and needs a little help tilting it up, but we are getting there!
