Water Baby

Benjamin LOVES splashing in the water!  He loves to splash in the dog's water bowls so we try to pick those up after the dogs eat, he loves to splash in the bath tub and I mean big splashes- I usually end up completely soaked, so I know he is going to have a blast this summer at the pool.  We bought him a water table to play with which he loves and it worked out nice because Matt and I were able to get some yard work done while Benjamin played. 

First we shared a popsicle.  Then we splashed!



Target

Last weekend we went to Target (per usual) and bought Benjamin a new water table to play with outside.  He loves it.  Benjamin wants to do everything these days.  If he sees you open a door, he wants to open a door, if you are grocery shopping and you grab something, he wants to grab something off the shelf, so naturally as we were putting our items on the conveyor to check out, Benjamin wanted to put something on the conveyor. 

So Matt put Benjamin on the conveyor!  He loved it!  When he got to the end the cashier would give him a sticker and Matt would put him at the end of the conveyor and then the cashier would start it again and down the checkout he went.   

Rub a Dub Dub

It's Ben in the tub! For Valentine's Day Auntie A gave Benjamin this super cute floating xylophone for the bath tub that Ben loves to play with.  He also loves to bang on the side of the tub with the sticks and really, bang just about anything in the tub with them. 

Yep, that's Lucy hanging out on the side of the tub waiting for her best bud.  As much as Lucy drives me crazy, Benjamin loves her so much and they love playing together, it is really cute. 

 

Stingray Reef

Wednesday was the first day in a long time that it has really felt like Spring, so Benjamin and I spent the afternoon at the Kemah Boardwalk.  We browsed the shops, shared ice cream, and fed the stingrays!  I'm not sure what I thought stingrays ate, but I wasn't expecting the tray of fish that they handed to us.  Benjamin didn't mind holding the fish and tossing them into the water.  In fact, I think he wanted to climb right in with the stingrays. 

There were some tears followed by a little peek a boo until I let him get out of the stroller.

We had a great time.  After we fed the stingrays we looked at the rest of the aquariums, checked out the turtles and then of course bought a souvenir in the gift shop.  

Buffalo Bayou Regatta

Last weekend Auntie A came in town for a visit and Matt and his friend Aaron did the Buffalo Bayou Regatta.  You  may remember when Matt participated last year, here, Benjamin was just 2 and a half months old then, things sure have changed since then!  It was a pretty dreary day and we got there just in time to greet Matt and Aaron at the finish line and give hugs and kisses before the rain started.  It started coming down pretty heavy so we didn't stick around, but had fun in the short time that we were there.

Love these 2 so much.

School is Fun!

I love all of the pictures that I get from Benjamin's school.  Here are just a few from last week.  The last picture cracks me up, it looks like he is really working hard on the playground!

Beep Beep

Who's got the keys?!  Benjamin loved furniture shopping last weekend because every store had these cute (probably full of germs) cars that he loved to drive around the stores.
