School House Rock!

In just a few short weeks, okay 5, but it seems like such a short time, Ben will be off to school!  Today we set out to find a school for Ben and I think we made the right choice.  We found a cute little private school in our neighborhood that I think will be just the right fit.  Ben will be learning sign language and getting to play with his classmates while enjoying a full day of fun with his teachers.  Here are a few pictures of Ben as we set out on our adventures today.

Monday, Monday!

 

Happy Monday!  What a day!  Ben was so excited to see his Auntie A again that he decided he did not feel like doing a lot of this today...

 

Which has made for quite the eventful night.  Here is to a fun week ahead!

T.G.I.F.

T.G.I.F. lovely readers!!!  It seems Ben is having a growth spurt these last few days which means he is eating like CRAZY!!!  That also means that I haven't really left the glider except to eat and shower which explains the reason I didn't post yesterday. I promise to make up for it next week!

I think Ben's onesie should say It's 5:00 A.M. somewhere...or 1:00, or 2:00, or 3:00! Have a great weekend!

Just A Swingin'

We have been trying every day to get Ben used to his swing.  I think this swing is just the cutest, comfiest, coziest swing but Ben doesn't seem to agree so I decided that every day I was going to let him swing for a few minutes to get him used to it and today was a swing success- no tears for about 5 minutes!

 I don't know about this Mommy...

p.s.- you may have noticed in Ben's previous pictures that he was sportin' a not so fun red rash all over his face.  I finally figured out the culprit, his Baby Bee shampoo and switched him to California Baby    and he has been rash free ever since!

Friday Favorite!

Today's Friday Favorite really is a FAVORITE!  I think this little elephant is destined to be Ben's prized possession- the one thing we won't be able to go anywhere without, the friend he will need to sleep, and his best little buddy.

If you have been reading this blog, you have no doubt seen a few pictures of Ben with his elephant.  His elephant is a wubbanub a stuffed animal with a pacifier attached to its head.  It is great because Ben can easily hold on to it and get it back into his mouth when it falls out.  They come with a soothie pacifier, which Ben LOVES, but you can also buy an adaptor to use the other types of pacifiers with it.  There are all sorts of different cute animals, too!

Rub A Dub Dub!

Happy Valentine's Day!  It's the day of love!  And chocolates, and sweets, and cute little baby feet!  Ben and I have been busy this morning getting dinner ready for tonight, making cupcakes, and making Daddy's Valentine's Day gift, okay, really, I have been busy and Ben has been snoozing, but he is still the best little helper even if he doesn't help much!  Tomorrow we will share with you our Valentine's Day fun but for today some bathtime fun!

Faces!

Oh, the faces Ben is making these days!  Nothing brightens my day more than to see all of the faces that my little buddy is making these days...

Tummy Time!

 One of Ben's favorite things to do right now is lay on his back and look at a mobile or the objects hanging from his play mats.  One of his not so favorite things to do is to lay on his tummy!  I started putting him on his tummy for the last few weeks and was amazed the other day when our little guy started to push himself up and lift his head!  I tried to capture the head lift, but I couldn't quite catch it at the right time...

It was hard work and once our little guy started to scream, we decided that the view was much better this way...

And looking at Daddy was much better, too!

And with a little help from our friend the elephant things were definitely all better!  I think our elephant needs a name, any suggestions?!

You may have noticed that the pictures in this post look A WHOLE LOT BETTER!  The pictures are because Ben's grandparents, GiGi and Poppy,  came over Friday night and gave us a new Canon Rebel  thank you GiGi and Poppy, we love it, and we love you, too!  I am so excited to finally have a big girl camera and can't wait to start using it to capture our adventures!  Now if I can only find the time to read the manual...

Auntie A

Happy Monday!  Last week Ben's Auntie A came to visit us for the week.  Ben had such a great time spending time with his Auntie A and we can't wait for her to come back and visit us.  I'll let the pictures tell most of the story...
