Florida Keys

There was no Black Friday shopping for us this year, we woke up early Friday morning and headed straight to the Keys!

We enjoyed lunch on the water of course and it was delicious!  We had seafood, seafood, seafood of course!  And Benjamin enjoyed his 1st virgin pina colada!  

 Then we stopped at Robbie's Marina in Islamorada Key to feed the tarpon, shop around and enjoy the beach a bit.  It was so much fun!  Unfortunately  Benjamin wanted his pacifier all day since he was not exactly feeling 100% yet.  I cut all of the nipples on them  and am determined to get rid of it this month, luckily he only uses it at night or when he is not feeling well.

 

And stopped at a fruit stand where we enjoyed the most delicious key lime milkshakes and Benjamin and his cousin Annah got to feed animals and enjoy Benjamin's favorite thing these days-big trucks (or tractors!)

Such a fun trip to the Keys!

Thanksgiving Day

Benjamin woke up Thanksgiving Day feeling less than great and ended up with an ear infection and 102 fever that afternoon.  He felt a little better after Tylenol and ear drops so he did play outside for a few minutes but later that afternoon he fell asleep on me at the dinner table and was pretty much miserable the rest of the day.  I hate seeing Benjamin so miserable and luckily he was feeling better by Saturday morning.

 We did manage to sneak in some family photos that afternoon.

 But Benjamin was just not in the mood.

 And was much happier inside on the couch reading books and snuggling.

Thanksgiving Feast

On Wednesday Auntie A and I joined Benjamin and his class for their Thanksgiving Feast.  It was so cute to see Benjamin interact with all of his friends that we hear so much about at home. 

And then we headed to the airport that afternoon to catch our flight to Florida.  Benjamin and I had some fun in the airport with a few selfies to pass the time. 

 

And desipite an hour and a half delay Benjamin did awesome!  We were well prepared with lots of new stickers, books, toys and snacks and this super fun Olaf spin sucker that Benjamin spotted in the airport.  It was a long day for all of us and we were all super excited to finally get to Florida around 9:30.

Happy Thanksgiving!  We hope you are spending it with those you love most.  We miss being with our Texas family but are so thankful to be spending it in Miami with Matt's family that we don't get to see as often.

Vroom Vroom

After a lot of rain last week the weather has been just perfect for playing outside.  So that is just what we have been doing in the evenings. 

Birthday Lunch

We had a fun and busy weekend as usual.  Saturday night Dede and I went and saw Dirty Dancing at the Hobby Center and it was amazing.  No matter how many times I have seen the movie, the music and dancing never gets old.  And Matt and Benjamin spent the evening together at Gumbo Bar and watching college football.  Sunday we celebrated my birthday a little early with lunch in Galveston with MawMaw and Poppy.  We ate lunch at the Moody Gardens hotel and got to enjoy the pretty Christmas decorations.  Speaking of Christmas decorations, we started to put ours up over the weekend as well since we are leaving for Miami Wednesday for Thanksgiving. 

I was really hoping for a Christmas card picture but as you can see I ended up with a bunch of funny ones.  Picture taking was just not in the cards for us on Sunday.  Christmas card picture or no picture it was a great start to my Birthday spent with those I love most.  

Bedtime Sillies

Benjamin has the cutest and silliest personality and I just love it.  My next post is going to be an update on all of the hilarious things that he is doing and saying these days but for now just some silliness before bed.
