Easter Part 2

On Saturday night we had a crawfish boil at Nana and Pops and Benjamin loved hanging out with everyone and playing with all the babies that came over.  He especially loved spending time with his Auntie Heather...

It was a very fun evening with lots of crawfish, family and friends!  We had to go to bed early though so the Bunny could come and visit us! 

Easter Egg Hunt

Sorry it has taken me so long to post our Easter pictures.  Last week I was crazy sick all week.  It started Monday night with a stomach virus and went downhill from there.   On Wednesday when I went to the doctor I had pink eye in both eyes, strep throat and an ear infection on top of my stomach virus.  By Friday I was finally feeling better after the medicines started to kick in.  So here we are recapping our Easter weekend that we spent in Lafayette with Nana Debs and Pops and Auntie Heather and Uncle Scootles. 

On Saturday morning we walked to the park in Nana and Pops' neighborhood for an Easter egg hunt.  It was Benjamin's first official hunt so I wasn't sure how he would do but he loved it!  He found 2 eggs all by himself and put them into his basket all by himself.  Such a big boy!  2 must have been the magic number this year because the next morning the bunny visited us and left eggs and Benjamin again found 2 eggs and put them in his basket and he was done. 



Benjamin prefers to be in his diaper and sometimes I don't even fight him to put on clothes. This was pre Easter egg hunt.

Dentist

Over Spring Break I took Benjamin to the Dentist for the first time for a "happy visit."  Happy Visits are when you go to the office and get to meet everyone and play with the toys at the office.  The idea is to get them comfortable with the office and the people so that going to the Dentist is not a scary thing.  Benjamin loved it because the hygenist let him sit in the chair and she turned on his favorite show- Elmo!  He also got a lot of fun toys!  I think he definitely liked going to the Dentist.

Barnes and Noble

Benjamin and I spent a Sunday afternoon a Barnes and Noble a few weeks ago and he was in heaven!  He loves books and when I would read to him he would touch every page, I am assuming they have been reading touch and feel books at school, so we headed up to Barnes and Noble to pick out some new books, especially a few touch and feel books.  He loved every minute of our Barnes and Noble date, from picking out all the books and reading them to playing with the Thomas the Train.  I see a train set in his very near future. 

On a side note- Benjamin and I stayed home Monday so he could recoup from an infection in both ears and on Monday afternoon Benjamin really started to walk!  He has been taking a few steps here and there but Monday afternoon I asked him if he wanted some milk and he just stood up and started walking and has been walking all over the place ever since.  Our sweet boy is getting so big!

I am so thankful to have such a cute little helper to help me out around the house.  It sure does make cleaning a whole lot more fun.

Benjamin decided we needed to organize the tupperware cabinet.

Outside

Benjamin loves to be outside these days and we are loving the warmer weather.  These are a few pictures from Spring Break when most of our days were spent outside enjoying the warmer air.  I took Benjamin to be fitted for some "big boy" shoes over Spring Break as well and I know that he is enjoying the sturdier shoes.

First Date!

A few weekends ago we had some very special visitors- our friends Jon and Sarah and their sweet baby Harper.  They had gone to San Antonio to cheer on UL at the Big Dance and stopped by our house on the way back to Lafayette.  It was so nice catching up while Benjamin and Harper played.  There is about a 6 month age difference between the two but they still played so well together!

These 2 didn't know it, but it was their "first date!"  =)
